I drove my '77 760 miles one Monday after working early shift, stayed the night south edge of Burlington finding a room at 2:00 AM, loaded my '74 Triumph at 7:30 AM up on Shellhouse Mtn Rd there south of Burlington (Vergenes?) and drove my '77 the 760 miles home on Tuesday .... May 1994. Was a whirlwind trip but beautiful country.

And what a great memory you have. Yes, Vergennes is about 25 miles south of Burlington. You probably passed into New York shortly after and got on i87 to i95? Or did you stick with back roads?
