Hey Guys! Just to let you know we are under Modified Phase II water restriction now.

I CAN WASH MY F_ING TRUCK NOW !

Check out this link and put in your zipcode. It will tell you what restriction you are under. It's from the SFWMD.GOV so it's not BS.

Thye changed it anyway for both phase II & III according to the news release on the SFWMD.GOV website.

Under both orders, other outdoor water uses, such as low-volume pressure cleaning, hand-watering, and car and boat washing, are no longer restricted; agricultural, industrial, commercial, golf course, and recreational water uses also are no longer restricted. These restrictions apply to users who obtain their water from public utilities, private wells, canals, ponds and lakes.

I dont know when the trip is yet unless one of you guys wants to set a date already. Im good to go whenever and im also willing to help set-up and clean the boat when we come back. When i come back from Chicago (Aug 11-15) we can try to set something up since lately the weather has been pretty good down there.

But if someone wants to throw a date out to see if anyone can make it. By all means go ahead

How far down the keys are we going to go? I have access to a 20 footer on mile marker 27. I know "WAY DOWN THERE" but it's a boat. If we don't want to go that far, I'm willing to put money for gas and bait.

Let's set a date already, I mean it's only 4 or 5 of us on this part of the forum anyway. If we have 2 boats better yet and if someone knows the spots around Islamorada or closer even better.

Let's do this. I guess we have to wait for the hurricane to blow by.

Well, since we are doing a one day trip we dont want to go too far down. I know 5.4 Lariet usually heads down to Fort Pennekamp (dont know if i spelled that correctly) and it seems like a good place to drop in, but we are still open to suggestions.

You guys are lucky! I just got back from Key West and I miss it!!! I lived in Florida for 14 years in South and Central parts. I really dont know how you guys afford living in South Florida with the high housing and insurance costs!

its hard to afford this place. you either gotta live with mom and dad or with alot of people in one house.

Ok, lets say end of september....the 29th, it's a saturday. We meet at the gas station on the turnpike, snapper creek at 6 am. Then we all leave from there together.
1-Those who have boats, is this date possible?
2-All those interested is this date possible?
3-Those with boats, how many people can you carry with you?
4-How much would you need in fuel?
5-Bait and drinks can be purchased at the marina and divided up equally or bring your own drinks and food.
6-What type of fishing are we talking? Trolling? Bottom?

Sounds like a pretty good plan to me. We just have to see who jumps on board (no pun intended). Im sure Jhitti and 5.4 Lariet will be interested especially since they are pretty good fisherman from what ive heard. Hope they could teach me a thing or two. I was born around boating so im good with mechanical and maintanance, but ive never really known the ins and outs of fishing except putting the line in the water.
