Man INVALID..you really ran through some crazy ideas.. inverting the subs and having a downfire box in a Reg. Cab.

Glad you finally got it worked out.

Personally, I think you should have stuck with 2Trucks and went with the E10K's.. they would most definitely hit harder AND sound better than the 12's you bought.

But I'm not trying to down you or your decision.. just saying my OPINION.

I agree with Tek2000...you should listen to that 2Trucks guy.

I must say...Kenwood subs are better than no subs!

The ED subs look cool, but the availability for anything in a 10" is june 1. I can't wait that long

That is the release date of their new line of products...if you email them they might have some subs left (not the new line of products).

Sorry, I only had time to read the first two pages, but for you guys with ext. cab....click the link in my sig....that is the way to go. I have one box like this left carpeted, but at least this will give you an idea. Down-firing is the only way to go with ext. cab, unless you build a new rear bench to be the box.

Just designed a box for a buddy who got an Elemental e15k. Only pushing 200W and box is 3.5^3 ft. tuned to 35Hz. POUNDS!!!!

Oh the kenwood's were just something to play with. I will have some of those elemental design speakers very soon. I got the kenwood just to see how difficult it was to make a box and get everything hooked. My birthday is coming up June 1st and you better believe i will have some elemental designs pretty soon afterward.

Downfiring is not the only way to go in an Extended Cab. I fit my EVO 10" under the rear seat UP FIRING quite nicely.

By only way to go, I meant for overall output, not only option.

down fire is good

a down fire box makes for good sound and hard hitting action you shouldnt loose to much leg room or anything like that.

i have 2 12's in my truck its just too bad they dont make a box for them to go under seats i have them sitting in the fold down of the split 60-40
