Q-forms kickpannels

You'd be kind of defeating the purpose of running kick panels if you still used full range speakers in the doors. The reason for kick panels is imaging.. to get the soundstage out in front of you and have a listening center point. That way you don't hear the side closer to you louder and sooner than the far side of the vehicle.. the kick panels elminate this by creating an almost equal distance from the listener to both right and left speakers. If you add 5x7's in the door.. you'll just add the sound staging problems back into the system.
You could add a midbass woofer to the door... say run 5.25" component set in kick panels and add a 6.5" woofer (only midbass no highs) in the door speaker hole.. this will increase your midbass response and still keep the imaging situation in check.

Does that mean we have no life and hang out on the board too much?
I don't know too much about the mechanical side of the vehicle.. i.e. powertrain and stuff.. BUT I do know about electronics. That's the reason I'm always on the Audio System forums.
It's nice on these forums.. there's not 100 million other experts to try to get through to post a response to a question.. like on some other sites.
