Hey Red,
Your system looks sweet. You chose some really nice pieces. Im sitting here right now trying to figure out if i can fit 2 JL 10W6's under my back seat..and i found this looking for other guys box pics. I see yo did a seatlift kit..looks like 2". I think it is possible (vaguely) to build sealed boxes for my 10's wothout a seatlift..but its gonna be sooo close! I also want to build the box firing down because i think it would sound better..less cone noise and deeper probably. How does yours sound like exactly firing up? How many watts are you hittin the 10's with? What kinds of music do you listen too and does your box hit it well? Again, great install...enjoy it!

I had to put the lift(3") in because my subs have a deep mounting depth. But after I heard that people liked the seat up better than down I didn't mind it as much.I'm using a JBL 300.1 amp. In a 4 ohm load it hits with 150 watts. In a 2 ohm load it hits with 300 watts which is how I have mine set up. I think it sounds awesome. Probably the best example of music I listen to is Creed mostly, then comes pretty much everything from country to Lenny Kravitz, except RAP CRAP, although they do hit the bass well.

system looks good...but why fire the subs into a metel barrier? firing them down would produce much dynmanic bass...just a suggestion.
I have completely removed the seat braces, and actually attached the seat to custom fiberglass enlosure with two tens firing down. Only a 1.75 inch seat raise was needed and it produces intense bass with 2 JL's.

Very nice job with that system. Where did you pick up the seat lift? and how much did it cost? I have 2 JL 10's that i am anxious to put in, but i need to bring the seat up. Thanx.
