The right wiring for my set up...

Well this could have either gone in the amplifier or the sub's forum, I chose here...

I have a Rockford 1001bd amplifier (one channel) the specs show 500x1 @ 4 ohms, 1000x1 @ 2 ohms... I honestly don't have the slightest idea what this means though... I have on the way 2 12" Rockford Stage 3 subs that have "dual 4-ohm impedance" I don't know what I'm looking for here and just want to be sure I'm wiring them up correctly... I don't want alot of money going up in smoke... could ya help me out?

look as though a 4ohm load is going to be the best you can get with dual 4ohm voice coils. only way to get a 2ohm load would be to get dual 2ohm voice coils.
