Question factory amp for components?

I know most of you will recommend to add an amp for the components. I plan on doing this at a later date. I want to use high quality systems so I must add it piece at a time. I'm going to keep the factory head unit and 6 disc changer because I love it. Has anyone had experience with components connected to the factory premium sound amp directly through the speaker connection? I've added systems to some of my previous vehicles but have no experience with components. I have found a great deal on Infinity Kappa 57.1cs components with a 5x7 woofer that would fit in the factory hole with no adaptors. Are Kappa's good components? Will they work without a seperate amp?

P.S. Has anyone heard of Coustic amplifiers? They were some of the best amplifiers for the money about 10 years ago when I was in high school. Those of us who couldn't afford Hi-Fonics amps bought Coustics. They seem to have disappeared. Does anybody know what happend to Coustic and Hi-Fonics? I know these are alot of questions but I figured this was the best place to ask them.

Thumbs up

The Kappas are on sale at www.crutchfield.com
Good stuff but power hungry from what I've heard.
