Best tweeter mounting spot?

Best tweeter mounting spot?
I have a 98,hence my name,hehehe.
This means I have the large door handles
on the interior door panels(and love them) I am trying to find the best spot to mount the tweeters 3/4" or 1",depending on the speaker system I get.(component/6 1/2" woofer and sep. tweeter) I have thought about mounting them on the mirror mount covers, for ease
of installation, and or imaging. Or on the dash somewhere. Is the mirror mount covers the best place? I would use the angle mounts to face them towards the driver and pass. What do you all think?,,,,,98

What's the difference between the '99s and up, and the '98s. I've seen them before, but I can't remember. Don't the '98s have the main speaker mounted higher in the door? Take a pic and mark the positions you are considering 1,2,3...etc. Then post it here and take a poll. Of course you'll be bound to accept whatever the majority of the motley crew vote on.
Without seeing it, I would say generally speaking the further forward you put the tweeters, the more you anchor the front soundstage. However, if you move the tweeter too far away, you may have to invert their polarity to actually keep them in phase with the midranges. Hey--Just use 2-sided sticky tape and experiment. Mount them all over...let your ears make the choice.

Hey guys,
Great ideas,my mirror mount covers are a seperate piece, but they may have enough space for a sunken tweeter. I was thinking of surface mounting them with the (usually) supplied angle mounts.
The flush mount looks much smoother.
I haven't ever heard of the possibility of mounting them too far from the woofers, thanks for letting me know.
I'm going to use the double sided tape method to test them out,but probably end up with putting them on the MM covers.
They just look better there ,,,,,98

I had thought about mounting the on the front of the dash(next to the windshield)
but then thought it over. They would look like frogs' eyes sticking up out of the water, It would also say look at me,I have an expensive stereo, rip me off, lol.
I'm a big believer in stealth for car stereo, the less that's visible, the better.
the only thing that gives mine away(so far) is the head unit.,,,,,98
