Question Opinions on Polk Momo MM100's

Anyone out there installed Polk Momo MM100 in their SCrew? Are they worth the premium price? What amp to run??

Thanks in advance for the help.

I totally agree with Deus. Companies like Fosgate know how to make audio equipment.

Okay Deus, you seem to have a lot of opinions....how about a recommendation. What are you running in your ride? How about a recommendation on a good amp for a sub? I'm not trying to be sarcastic but I would appreciate recommendations in addition to opinions.

Svtoby150, thanks for the input. My next choice after the Polk Momo was to look into what Fosgate has to offer. I've used them in the past, always satisfied but I haven't put together a system in ten years so I'm not sure if Fosgate is still cutting edge. As Deus says, Fosgate was tops 5+ years ago. Now????

Personally, I like Memphis Audio Studio series, if you want sound quality that is . Not high dollar but sound killer. I also looked at Polk and Fosgate (along with many others) and kept coming back to Memphis.

Ya, im an opinionated sob. Anyhow, I run a lot of different equipment. Right now here is what I have...

JVC DigiFine 2.1 SH99
Orion XTR 800.4²
AudioControl EQS
Illusion Audio ND12
Illusion Audio ND8.1

I'm an SQ nut.

I'm not sure what you are looking for but I would guess its a mix of SPL/SQ as you were looking at the MOMO. I would also guess you have quite a bit to spend. I would recommend the Illusion ND12 or ND10, PPI Pro, Soundstream Exact, Image Dynamics IDQ or IDMAX, Crystal CMP, Audiomobile MASS...to name a few.

There are a more good subs out these days than you can shake a stick at. It just depends on your tastes in audio, style (or lack of), application, and wallet size. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Deus, thanks for not taking my comment the wrong way and for all the suggestions. You must be more of an audiophile than I am...I haven't heard of a couple of the brands you mention. I will definitely look into them. I guess I do have some cash to spend, figured I'd put some serious money down if I'm going to rip out the inside of my 3 month old SCrew.

I am running a pair of 12" cerwin vega HED's dual voice coil on a fosgate 500.2 briged mono at 4 ohm's actual output is around 770 watts. The box is glassed with right at 1.1 cf per sub. I posted a link to the pictures on the supercrew subs post.
