I am completely satisfied with my EVO 10". I listen to ALL TYPES of music.. from Godsmack (bass drum and bass guitar heavy) to Rap and some R&B (low bass notes). It seems to have no problem keeping up with the fast hard rock tracks and definitely goes deep.

I had a mounting depth situation in my installation, that's part of the reason why I chose the EVO (5" mounting depth). Plus I had heard so many good reviews... and I wasn't dissapointed in the least.

Plus ya get the 30 day money-back guarantee with Audiomobile.

Wouldn't the Audiomobile MASS be more in the category of the IDMAX and the EVO would be about the level of the IDQ?

I probably sound like an AD for Audiomobile..lol. Just a satisfied customer.

well i was putting the evo-r up there with the w7s and whatnot and since the evo is just the sealed version of the evo-r i figured i may concider it....but i havent really looked too much into the mass... i may do that..but i think my choice is probaly gonna be the w7s since they can give me the spl and sq i want i know the idmax can give me the sq i want but i dont think ill get the out put i want and plus the price i get the w7 is pretty good...and also the brahma i hear has tensel slap and i dont wanna spend money on that the only thing thats gonna kepe me from the w7 is the depth but im doing them inverted so i dont think it should be a big problem.

I didn't really test out the W7 that much.. primarily because I wasn't looking to spend that kind of cash.

Its like everyone says.. gotta go with what you want and what sounds good to you. I wasn't going for neighborhood rocking bass. I just wanted something that sounded awesome inside the truck.. and I got exactly that. Not a good idea to have a loaded up system living in an apartment complex with no garage.

Best of luck to you man. I've read through several of your posts and you sound like you've got a good grasp on things.

yea i wasnt going for neighborhood shaking bass either thats why i got rid of the 13 ... thats why i think im gonna move down to two 10s and kinda tone it down a bit..and its hard finding what you like bc there arent too many places where i can hear the subs i want to before i buy them...

and yea i think i know a desent amout about the stereo part just not a whole lot bout the engine and what not thats why i came here.

and thanks for the luck part..ill need it

I hear ya on the engine stuff man.

I'm an electronics technician so I can answer most any question about the stereo stuff and how to wire it all up and everything but when it comes to the engine I'll let the guys that get paid to do that handle that part.

I purchased my nd12 from a sponsored competitor that had a new one on hand. Got my nd8.1 component set from illusion's old production manager.

The nd12 runs about $220.

Its scary how much information you can gain just by posting here. I already knew a whole lot about the 5.0, but it is really funny that I know so much about the 4.6 & 5.4, I dont know that much about the 4.2, cause there isnt that much stuff available for them.

I've got 2 Crossfire BMF 15s running off 4 RF Punch 225.2s in my Explorer. At over 1500 watts per sub it's a touch on the loud side hehe. My '98 F-150 doesn't have anything till after the bodydrop, then it will have a cut through

Two Eclipse 88100 (10in) DVC aluminum series - awesome subs. I'm only using one right now in a temporary box. It's running at 2ohms off a DEI 1100d, once I get a box for both subs, I'll run 'em both down to 1 ohm.
If I buy a prebuilt box, I'd go for that Pro Box one for 97-99s with the lift kit (www.proboxrocks.com). But I really don't know anything about them.

From what I understand the company moved to England and left their employees here. Illusions are becomming quite hard to find as most places that advertise having them in fact do not. Occasionally they end up on ebay but they are few and far between.

JL 6W0's ... , yeah, yeah ... dont laugh until youve heard a trio of them in a properly built ported box, theyre actually quite impressive, plus theyre a cash machine. Just let your friends listen in your truck, then bet them $20 they cant guess what size subs and how many there are, youll get "a pair of tens" all the time, its a great way to pay for the system!
