Question supercharger

Hey ya'll, I have a 4.2L 1999 F-150 XL and was wondering if a supercharger from a 2001 Lightning is compatible with my engine. Thanks.

Some dumb questions here.

This $3,500 quote, does that apply to the ProCharger as well? How much will installation cost? Who will do it and where?

Also, how much alteration will be done under the hood? I would like to keep the "stock" look as much as possible. Wouldn't adding a charger have a cascading effect of having to change other parts as well? In that respect, 3,500 really is nothing.

$3500 is for the procharger.

Are you running a v-8?

I installed mine myself, so not sure on installation cost. The only other thing that is recommended is you get a tuned chip. You can still run it without the chip, but it won't run up to par unless you get it. Only a few alterations under the hood have to be made. It is not going to look stock under there though. When you pop that hood everyone's eyes usually open up wide. I could probably get you a pic of mine maybe tomorrow or something.

It's the little V6, that's why it's so difficult to find a charger.

I did the typical Airaid, Manaflow setup, but it feels really sluggish in our Texas heat. I was going to get the Superchip, until I heard you have to send it back for reburn once you get a charger.

Just want to go faster, not change the look.

Texas heat?

You need to go through arizona, and see how sluggish your truck feels then. My truck runs so much better here in texas, I love it.

I'm guessing they don't have the procharger kit for the v-6s yet.
