Is the thought of supercharging a 93 2wd f150 dumb?

I don't think it's dumb. I wish every vehicle had forced induction.
You have the 5.0? If you do there is no doubt thet there is a kit for your truck. I think there might be one or two for the 4.9. If you have the 5.8 I would guess that you will have options too.
Give a little more information on what your set up is and people will be able to give you more information about what you need, and how practicle supercharging is.

Not dumb at all, which engine do you have? We have a 93 x-cab that has been running a 9lb powerdyne unit for a number of years. It runs great and makes a big difference from stock. It makes more sense to mod the old pushrod trucks because there are millions of performance parts for them, many more them than for the new mod motors. You can do anything from mild to wild, it all depends on your budget. There is even one turbo kit availible, which I would suggest looking into. (talk to Mark over at www.gotpressure.com) The old boxy trucks make awesome customs.

thanks guys. I visited the got pressure site, it was a little messed up. I'll look at it later, I want to do subtle things to my truck to make it stand out but i dont want it to be gawdy or over done.
I am having trouble finding parts for it, i found lights and whatnot and a roll pan but thats about it. any one know of any sites?
thanks again you guys have been cool to a newb
