2004 4.6L Supercharger

should I get a Roush supercharger or a; bodykit, dual-exhaust, cold-air intake, chip, and programer. I want my truck to GO. I recently moved up from a 160MPH 1998 VW Passat 1.8T that was almost fully modded (except for NOS) to my 2004 F-150 4.6L and I want my truck to move a little bit. It's like switching from formula 1 to tractor pull. The power is there, I just need to find it.

Intake, chip and programmer will all be wasted $$$ if you get a blower down the road.

I wish I had gotten gears and a blower in the beginning, instead of waiting. These two mods alone made a huge, noticeable diffference. More than any other mod IMHO.

You can't get a chip and programmer. And the roush requires your puter to be reprogramed so niether will work later unless you save up for a whipple or procharger/turbo etc.... Dual exhaust sounds good/ costs alot and doesn't give you that much punch for your buck. intake will be pointless if you later go blown as it might not work with that particular application but that could be ebayed or sold here later..

My 2cents! Get blown!!

Hey, you are from Tomball, I'm from the Galleria area. Do you know of any preformance shops in the Houston area that don't rip you off too bad. The only car shop I know of works on Ferraris and higher-end cars like that. http://www.lawellmotorsports.com

I just moved here at the beginning of the years so i'm not that familar with the area, i know of Horsepower engineering on the north side (not crazy about them) i think there are a few others MTI etc. Check out Fordtruckworld.com in the texas forum, they could help you better as there are a ton of people on there from the area!

I guess I'm just asking everyone if they have any ideas that might be better than my original. That will free-up some ponies in the $1-$5,000 price range. What would you do in my situation?

Just so we clarify everything you are driving a NON heriatage (new body style) 04 3V 4.6 correct? Crew cab?

From the sound of it, looks like you like to mod and "play" In my opinion i wouldn't go with the Roush. But if warrantee is something you look for then that is your only option. I would go Procharger before Roush. https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=195454
i would think the mustang 3V 4.6 is the same but i dunno! Possible the whipple also that would be my first choice but i don't know if it will work. Crash would know.

If your rear doors are not full size doors, then you do not have a SuperCrew, you have a SuperCab.

Yeah, new body. Would I have to buy a new hood after buying a supercharger?

No most if not all SC are designed to clear the stock hood... You might want to give Crash a call he is in Dallas and can line you up with your options and prices..
