Adding more boost with the Procharger

I'm currently running a ProCharger on a stock RC SWB 5.4. It is tuned with the SCT tuner at 9-10 psi, 42lbs injectors, lightning mass air, and 255lph in-tank fuel pump, cat-back exhaust also. I'm considering having the current pistons and rods swapped to forged pieces because I would like to up the boost to around 15-16psi. Should my current injectors, mass air, and fuel pump support that with a new tune? Any guesses on the amount of hp that can be produced at that boost level? I would like to make at least 400 rwhp and get my truck into the 12's. I would appreciate any input.

12's have been done with only 12psi on both a 4.6l and a 5.4l with stock internals...if you went with Mad's intake and his 12lb pulley you would be in the range of 13.5-14psi and with a good dyno tune you would be safe

raider,

Thanks for the reply.

I know there are people running 12-14 psi on the stock engine but I have been told that the stock pistons won't take that much for long. I would like to be able to safely run 15-16psi and not worry about busting a piston.

If you have the cash then upgrading the Pistons/Rods is a very good idea, it will not only ensure safety but also allow you to run more boost. I know Tenderizer made crazy power at 16 psi using the DSC1.
