I've heard Ed Badillo (the tuner for the Ford Racing/Whipple kit) talk about the Powerworks/Magnacharger kits and he is impressed with the power they are able to get out of the Eaton 112.

I agree and the video below supports that...

3 PSI difference, I'd say I held my own. Here's a video.

The main problem for those of us in California is we dont have 93 octane gas and our 91 octane is closer to 90 octane in other states.
So making power is more expensive and not as easy

and that's running around $3.20 a gallon right now.

Nope, that is information that was taken directly from the Whipple/PowerWorks web sites. Take them for what ever they are worth.

Didn't quite get those torque #s with my current tune, but the DynoJet gave me comparable HP with my Whipple. Two more degrees of timing gave ~420 ft-lbs, but I have the "91 octane" syndrome here, and didn't want to chance a tank of bad gas.

So, it's quite possible at stock boost levels to see those figures from a Whipple. I DID get a custom tune (see below note also), so perhaps I'm disqualified from the "out of the box" group. Being at over 5000 ft. altitude, I felt it necessary to dial things in a bit more precisely.

My speed limiter is no longer set to stock values, BTW.

Edited to add: My only other mods are the HO MAF from Whipple (90mm, I believe) and a Gibson Swept Side exhaust.

Drew - What kind of gas mileage are you getting when doing normal daily driving and not getting on it?

If you drive with the supercharger the same as you did without it, your mpg should not drop.
My wife got better mpg with it going to Arizona than previous years without it.
