I can't speak for the Magnacharger, but my Whipple made 391 RWHP on the stock settings, with a dyno tune. That's pretty close to their 394 claim.

It sounds like something is hooked up wrong. Good luck.

As I suspected, the guy at Magnacharger didn't bother calling back today. There's magnacharger tech support and customer service for ya...Something to think about when dropping 5k on one of their kits - that'll be the last for me anyways.

Does anyone have any settings they can send me to input into the handheld device? For those who have used this charger, you are probably familiar with the fact that you can adjust the settings and ratios on your computer and have the handheld programmer send them to the ECU. Does anyone have any of these settings recorded that I can use on my truck? It is completely stock other than a poorly working charger.

First off welcome to the site
Next you need to help us help you.
1. fill out the info on your truck that is posted in the right corner so we know what year and model F150 you are driving and your state
2. Do you have your dyno graph? if so post it
3. Asking for settings will not help you much since each situation is different
That will start us off

Hi guys,

I just purchased a magnacharger F-150 unit for my 2006 Ford F-150.

I'm having some problems with the supercharger after installing it and installing the included handheld software.

I installed the unit myself, and then took it to a local shop to have it placed on their dyno. I also purchased the handheld unit supplied my magnacharger.

I installed the necessary software and then had a dyno run. My first run made a very dismal 220rwhp with the charger installed. The shop owner took the handheld unit and plugged it into his computer, where he made some changes to the ratios. By the end of the day, he could only manage 320rwhp

I called Magnacharger technical support today, but I have a feeling that dealing with them is going to be a problem. The gentleman on the phone was extremely defensive, telling me he could "not release any information on how they got their dynos to show 416whp".

In fact, he told me that my 2006 F-150 typically dynos at 190rwhp stock, and that 320rwhp was typical in my situation. I pointed out their advertised numbers, and was told i'd receive a call back, although he took no information about what type of truck I owned, who I bought the charger from, or where I lived. Even the base run on the graphs they use themselves show 270rwhp stock, so I guess I have a special model

Either way, i'm wondering if anyone can offer some advice. I look to the F-150 community where Magnacharger has refused to help. I'm wondering if anyone can offer me either

a) some advice on what inputs I need to make to my a/f ratios to help get some more power or a copy of the maps they're using.

b) Is it possible that i'm using the wrong handheld unit? It was supplied by magnacharger, but is there a model # anyone here has that I can compare?

Anything is appreciated at this time. I'm having trouble keeping up to the civics, even with the charger installed.
More info is needed other then "I dynoed the truck, it was low on hp, and called magnacharger". The model of truck (2wd or 4wd), a dyno graph and list of modifications (including rim, tire and any differential changes) would help. When comparing dyno's you need to make sure you are on the same model dyno as an eddy currant dyno (i.e Mustang brand) will read up to 20% lower then an intertia dyno (i.e Dynojet) Most aftermarket companies use dynojet numbers because they are more popular and do read higher.

More info is necessary to help you but if you need to tell your dyno tuner what AFR to run, you need to find a new shop.

That looks nice and the 1/4 numbers arent too bad.
The thing that suprises me is the WHP numbers. I initially thought that it would be much higher coming from a decent displacement V8 with charger on it.
Hell my 4cyl with a turbo and stock motor made more WHP and WTQ....

I bet it sounds real mean and probably feels like it moves for a big truck though.

With that ET and MPH, at an estimated 6000lbs with driver (conservative considering all the appearance stuff you have), puts you closer to 410-415rwhp. Were your dyno numbers SAE corrected?

Congrats, I think that's the fastest I've heard of with a Magnacharger. Is that on the stock boost level and tune?

TG,
Wish I could have emailed you way back then since you were one of the few here who saw the potential in the supercharger.
But you don't accept emails.

Fastest Powerworks/Magnacharged stock boost F150
I'm not even the fastest stock boosted F150 supercrew over 5800lbs

Hi
I have a powerworks S/C not installed yet. I need to find someone or drive the truck to someone to install the S/C and I am interested in the tuner hand held to go with it for future changes if need be. I am not skilled enough to do this myself even thought looking at the directions seems easy I dont want someone or a friend helping that has not done this before or anyone to install unless powerworks has authorized due to fear of a problem or error human error. I would appreciate your help I have had the unit for a few months and I am stuck .
Hey this is a good problem to have and could be a better thing if i could go fast also !! thanks Don email me or send a phone number or something I will respond asap again thanks for the air space Don
