Glad to hear it is running more like you want it to. If I were you, I would back that shift pressure down and add a Factory Tech Plate Kit.

Mad,
I do have a factory tech shift plate. I think Mike backed down my shift pressures to compensate but I reinstalled the upper spring in the 1-2 accumulator to avoid banging shifts at part throttle. That had happened in the past with one of the modified valve bodies I was running.
That was one of the things I wanted to discuss with Mike but ended up receiving the tune before I got him on the phone. I'll talk to him this weekend and see how he has it set up. I'm going to try a controlled launch today and see how it behaves on the 1-2 shift. I only want a small chirp, just enough to let me know the shift is crisp. I was getting that chirp with the last tune and everything has remained the same except the blower. That is why I think he backed down the pressure with this tune.

WLF,
Would care to elaborate on your mileage a little?

Reading about your exploits here kind of gets me where it counts if you know what I mean. My right side brain says, "Wait a couple years and buy a new generation diesel." My left side says, "PARTY!! Build a toy that can also git 'er done!"

It will take a little while before I add to this post. Not everyone had a good day at the Dyno day and I’m not alone when I say that.
My truck heat soaked the intercooler while on the dyno and the IAT temps went above 165 degrees. The tune backed out 12 degrees of timing and the knock sensor backed out an additional 4 degrees. Needless to say with 16 degrees backed out the truck ran like a dog.
I have some changes being made both on my own and with the help of Mike and I will post results when I have something good to post. I’m not sure when that will be because winter may delay additional dyno pulls. My truck runs real strong when not heat soaked and I think my results will be good but will only post actual dyno numbers…
No matter what happens, I will post the truth.

How did that happen? Doesn't your Dyno have a cooling fan blowing all the time? Next time, set up a fan and leave your pump running between pulls, it'll make a sustantial difference, does for me.

Hi Wlf. Do you have anything left from your powerdyne setup?

I have just about the entire Powerdyne set-up still in the garage. I have to install a new belt into the Powerdyne and I will be putting it up for sale.
It still has a set of low milage Racing bearings in it and will come with an additional set of new replacement racing bearings.

I was wondering about the intecooler, possibly a smaller SC pulley, but I imagine that you will want to sell it all together.

Shane Brown,
I am selling the intercooler separately. If you are interested shoot me a line at wlfclf2000@aol.com and I will let you know what I want for it. I would consider selling it for my starting eBay bid to avoid the hassle of listing. I only have the intercooler. The reservoir and pump got used in my current set-up.

PCV hose passenger side valve cover. I have the manual from Allen for the 4.6/5.4 in a pdf file if needed
