HI!... I'll be running a T-76MM turbo. Looking to hit a conservative 650RWH.P. Hopefully 10's in the 1/4.

HI!... I'll be running a custom fabricated sheet aluminum intake manifold. The turbo is a PT-76GTS.

You (or whoever is doing the fabrication) may want to consider selling these...I think you'd have a few potential customers, both here and for the Mustang guys who've done the 5.4 swap :santa:

another note is use the correct cam for a turbo engine-on fords i'd discuss this with NEAL,also keep the exhaust as free flowing as possible-also recommending using a good knock sensor-my .02$-phil i have a buddy who has a 03 dodge ram 4x4 using a sts remote setup-i believe his numbers were 425 rwhp and 475 ftlbs boost @-6-8psi

HI!... I'm fabricating the sheet aluminum intake manifold myself. It's based off a REICHARD racing manifold.

This is what I have so far :

That's all I have done so far. Still have to buy the mandrel aluminum bends from BURN's STAINLESS.

The STS remote setup is beyond cool in my humble opinion. I've seen examples of it twice now on Spike and Speed TV. One was a twin turbo setup for a vette, the other a single turbo for a late model Silverado. The install looks fairly straight forward, and the power gains are sweet. Not to mention, opening the hood gives away almost nothing, the darn setup looks stock!

Yeah they are pretty cool. I had a custom remote mount turbo on my truck a couple years ago, but the turbo was way too small, it spun it too fast and ate the bushings out of it... It boosted to 20psi and was eating the tires off like crazy from a dig, but it blew up lol... That is why ive been saving for a long time, and I now have a nice engine sitting in my shop waiting for BOOST! I cant wait to get it done...

Now THAT is what it's all about!!!!!!!! Ah, Neal, a man after my own heart.

Take it to a machine shop, have it drilled, and install a large threaded freeze plug. You'll thank me for that some day.

My first foray into turbo was a pair of rebuilt junkyard T3's, a pair of shorty headers flipped L to R and backwards, a 351w, a lot of mandrel bends, and a WHOLE HELLUVA LOT of welding! Same problem. Those little turbo's were having the living **** spun out of them at anything over 3,500. Zero spool time though. There was boost just off idle. The seals didn't last long at all. Sometimes in as little as a month, they needed seals because they were already smoking. This was back before there was much of an aftermarket at all for turbo anything, before the Internet, etc. So there wasn't a lot of options. Today you can convert them to t3/t4 hybrids, with a different trim wheel and they will almost live forever.

So I bought a 76 and before I even had the rest of the parts together, sent it back and got a 101. Then I started breaking s^^t left and right. I had to build a whole new motor, new tranny, new rear, several chassis mods, etc. etc. etc. But that 101 has got 3 seasons on it and never so much as a hiccup.

What a long way to come and sooooo much money!!
