You could truly drive your truck without ever going wide-open-throttle (Yeah, like that's gonna happen.... ) and enjoy much increased performance anyway.

I've got a few thousand miles on mine now, and my truck drives so smooth it's hard to believe. It is always a great pleasure to get in and go, even for the drive to work.

It would be nice to have that amount of power on tap but what is more important to me and what I would use most of the time is the driveability of the Whipple SC upgrade. I am not sure what's going on with my stock truck but when I press down on the 5.4 3v pedal it does not do what I think it should, if you know what I mean. Yes, press it all the way to the floor and it pulls good and sounds good too, but those minor speed changes are the ones that sort of get lost in the computer some where, maybe the F150 is thinking to hard. I have hopes that the Whipple and a tune will mitigate these issues.

Just for clarification, and I understand the rule of thumb disclaimer, even if the boost pressure changes with modifications, the theoretical increase in power output is still valid and a recalibration of your target boost level is more appropriate than running more boost just to meet an arbitrary number.

This is a no pay repair.... warranty, extended warranty out of warranty, etc. It is a know problem with our trucks. Search the 04 Forum for reflash.
Any programmer will also eliminate the problem.

The Whipple is a great kit, I love mine

Don't forget to get a good FP & boost gauge.

My wife said OK, but this means a lot of time in the sack. Sacrifices have to be made.

well I got my whipple put on,I'm gonna have it dyno tuned on the 21st of this month.I will post my numbers when I get it done.I hope the tune helps with the boost problems I'm having,If I floor the truck the boost gauge only jumps to 3 PSI and slowly climbs as the truck picks up speed.Maybe some of you other guys can tell me if you get full boost at full thottle??

here's a picture of the whipple
