Dont use that crappy octane boost. Drain the tank and have them put 93 if possible. Octane boost fouled my plugs bigtime when I had my supercharger installed.

:-) no octane boost here

just 93

waiting on new turbo to arrive since my other one burned up.

oil lines are fine the shop did those for me and used the right fittings, it was a faulty turbo so hopefully the new one will be just fine.

Any pics of tubing routing? Anyone thought of modifying/using the TMA kit? www.tmaturbo.com. Also, I am unsure as to what tuning device(s) you are using? Hope to see it up and running soon, good luck!

yeah we've started it many times itw as all well

the problem was not the lines.. it was a piece of **** cheap turbo from ebay

i googled it and it was a very common problem with the cheap ebay turbos.

i didnt know for sure if it was becaue of the turbo or not so i actually ordered another cheap ebay turbo assuming that if it seized up also then atlesat it was a cheap one but then found out ... it seized up cuz it sucked.

so im going with a master power or turbonetics.. theres a place locally here in houston that sells them so im going there tomorrow if they are open. then dropping it off at the shop. or swapping them out myself at the shop...

lol, there will be pics when its all done and working. this little turbo mishap is a speedbump its the only thing holding us back from dynotuning.. so tomorrow im going to see if turbochargers.com's store is open so i can pick up a real turbo instead of a stupid pos ebay turbo.

okay so i got my truck out of that shop.. they dont know wtf they are doing

they put a diablo chip in there... and now i have a misfire at idle.. and my wideband is at 15-16 in park and at idle...

im assuming this is why i have a mis.. because of their horrible base tune.

i replaced my plugs and wires, havent changed coil pack yet. but seriosuly therse no reason for it to be at 15-16 on my wideband with their tune.

i had an sct tune base tune on it that they asked me to pull off and had no misfire with that one. then they put their crap on and did whatever they did and so now theres a misfire.

after i pull this chip out and put my sct base tune im going to take it slow and stay out of boost and get it to PSI Motorsports. Patrick is about 40 miles away from me i hope its okay to drive my truck with just a base tune.

I also dont know how to pull the chip out at this moment so i guess i gotta find some instruction on that.

im tired of dealing with these shops that act like they know everything and take it to someone who actually DOES know everything.

Wow...if those numbers are rear wheel hp, and I assume they are, that is damn good. Congrats on a project well done.

yes sir, that is rear wheel hp, stock block and a v6. so im pretty happy with it. the motor has 58k miles on it.

tuner said that was the safest tune he could do to it. he's tuned lots of 3.8 mustangs... and well everything else out there too.. but i have a lot of confidence in thsi shop there awesome

they adjusted the computer settings for the transmission, so before htey did that, after being turbo'd with my first tune... it shifted harder than hell when id get into boost.

to make it safer on the transmission they changed up quite a bit. now its real smooth, i dont know if tahts okay or not but it shifts REALLY NICE.

only thing ive had an issue with today is when i put the transmission in drive....its fine but if i run it hard or not or normal i guess... its got kinda a rough shakey feeling when i sit at a light or whatever.

took it back to shop... tuner said it seems to be a tuning issue and he can straigten it out next tuesday... well, i tried to get it to do that again tonight... no luck... which is actually a good thing that it wasnt doing it. but i still expect the tuner to check it ou tand make sure its good.

other then that... the truck feels like a brand new one.. if im driving 70mph on the freeway and want to pass someone its super easy to get up to 95mph and faster lol so i REALLY gotta watch it

thanks for the comment.
