is it possible for a misfire to cause boost spike? on a turbocharged application?

i thought it was my boost controller and it just might still be the boost controller, im not sure yet.

I replaced my coil pack cuz i had a weak one that was giving me a misfire at idle and while driving (which i didnt know until i felt the difference)

my boost was beginning to spike from 7-10 and things like that when id go WOT and hold at 7 instead of 8.

well, i changed nothing other than my coil pack and now it holds at 8 like it used to.
