Build up plans (Feedback Please)

Currently I have a 5.4 3V with the non i/c Roushcharger, and a catback system.

But here is what I got in my head as the next phase of the project.

E-fans
2LB lower pulley
Granatelli Pro Series X Coil Packs (Feedback on these please)
Stiegemeier supercharger port job
Pacesetter long tubes (cheap i know, but I just cant see spending alot here)
Offroad Y wipe
And a good dyno tune, I'm a firm believer in those over mail order tunes.

That's all I have planned, my goal is to dip into the 13s

Depending on traction I may also do some traction bars, but all in all, what do yall think? Anything I should change?

What is your truck? I dont think you will see 13's unless its a 2wd and a reg cab. but you might get a badass tune and on a cold night maybe get a 13.9
Its gonna be tough cause its the non I/c kit

I've also rolled around the idea of a bigger throttle body, anyone tried this in a boosted application yet?

Thanks for the feedback so far matt, and bluebeast

Yeah,,I say run true duals too!
Stick with the stock coils,,,the other ones will just be throwing money out the window!
And add a Water/Meth kit for a cooler air charge.

I really hate to ditch my ford racing cat back, I love the way it looks

I guess I could just have another muffler under the truck.

I looked at the snow performance kit, anyone have one?

Phil - how does the meth work with a pd blower and no factory iat2? Do you add an iat2?

I ran the stage 2 kit on my AED kit,a KB kit for the stock intake and then on my Lightning setup.
It's a boost controlled kit. Had it set to come on at 3 PSI.
I think on the AED kit we did add an iat2 in the manifold. Not sure about my other setups.

E-fans - Good choice but make sure you buy quality ones I had both of mine fail at the same time

2LB lower pulley - will give you a nice boost

Granatelli Pro Series X Coil Packs (Feedback on these please) - I have one of the first set of granatellis on my truck and have had an issue with three of them, save your money until you are running much higher boost and even then the stock ones should be fine

Stiegemeier supercharger port job - will add more hp/tq and lower intake charge a bit but it isnt cheap

Pacesetter long tubes (cheap i know, but I just cant see spending alot here) - I have these on both of my trucks and the only thing I would suggest is use the stock style gaskets or a set of the new carbon gaskets, the pacesetter gaskets WILL blow out on you

Offroad Y wipe - If you dont have to worry about emmissions then go with an offroad x-pipe and a pair of mufflers or a DI/DO muffler. otherwise get a couple of magnaflow 3" cats to slip onto the collectors

And a good dyno tune, I'm a firm believer in those over mail order tunes. - A dyno tune is better than a mail order tune BUT it all depends on who is dyno tuning it. I had a dyno tune with one tuner and ran 14.3 in the 1/4 then I ran a 14.05 with a mail order tune from Troyer and it still hasnt been tweeked in yet.

That's all I have planned, my goal is to dip into the 13s - On a cold night you might dip into the 13's but I have quite a bit done and I am having a hard time to get there myself, mainly traction issues.

Depending on traction I may also do some traction bars - You will get a better time if you go with a set of drag radials, my traction bars stop the wheel hop but they dont help me launch any better

Just be prepaired to spend some coin. I would highly recomend Troyer Performance for your Roush tune because I have tried another tuner that didnt work out that well for my application and Troyer nailed it in a mail order tune

My only other question (at the moment) is has anyone replaced their throttle bodies with this setup?

On this note, if you use a gasket prep compound (gasket shelac) they'll hold up just fine. I coated mine with a thin layer of copper RTV and they've held up fine and make installing the gaskets much easier too.
