Question about a Second Heat Exchanger For a Roushcharger?

So I've decided I am going to do a second heat exchanger on my truck, but I've got a few questions I couldn't find the answers to by searching.

What heat exchanger is best to use? An aftermarket piece, or something off a GT500, Saleen etc...

How much fabrication was required to mount it?

Is mounting it in front of the rad an ideal location?

Is it as simple as just hooking up the outlet of the original heat exchanger to the inlet of the second one and then the outlet of the second one up to were the original heat exchanger was returning the coolant?

Also, how does the coolant pump handle having the second exchanger? Has anyone had troubles?

Never heard of anyone running more then one heat exchanger!
Should be similar to a Lightning setup. Just get a bigger better one!

You can look in Matt or Jacks galleries for pix of their Roush set ups with an added heat exchanger .
Mike Mad also runs a dual set up on his L

Just get a better one from AFCO along with a good reservoir that can be chilled with ice for the track.

I think that's a cheaper way to go!And should work ok.
You can get the stock L heat exchangers for cheep since everyone has upgraded to better ones.
You will probably be better of with a bigger aftermarket dual pass heat exchanger! + a tank that holds more coolant.

I thought I had a picture in my gallery but I didnt. I will try to upload one after Christmas.

I used a Cobra heat exchanger with the factory aluminum water pipes that came with the cobra exchanger. They are routed under the drivers headlight and I used aluminum brackets to mount the heat exchanger on top of the trans cooler.

ok found my old user gallery which has a couple of pics.

Anyone ever explore the possibility of a progressive Methanol kit?

Water/Meth injection blow away standard IC's when it comes to suppressing detonation and lower IT's...

I will be running two I picked up a lightning heat exchanger and bracket last year I plan on installing it along with the one that is in the truck now.

I would like to ditch the stock magnacharger one and pick up an AFCO but $$$ so I figured that this was a cheap way increace my coolant capacity and bring down IAT's.. Hope it works
