New supercharger question.

Its that time of season when I'm getting things ready for summer racing, and Looking at a new supercharger. It's new (not rebuilt) and for an 03 or 04 lightning. How much is a fair price for this thing? I don't have a clue, and really don't want to get shafted. Thanks. I know I'm new, but this looks like a grear forum so far. I just havn't found any prices for new blowers.

It actually isn't FOR a lightning. Its another project. but I need the blower from a lightning. An M112 with the ford flanges on inlet and outlet. I just figured a lightning forum is the best spot for this kind of question to be asked. I found one for 800, brand new. but didn't know if that was a good price. and if not, what should be the price that I should pay?

Alright confession time... I'm actually looking to put it on top of a direct injected buick 2009 Enclave. The blower is a little larege as far as displacement goes, but thats easy to fiddle with. besides the 112c.i. will give us the boost and temps that we need. Also, the bolt pattern is easy to adapt to. So, thats why i'mm looking for what would be a fair price for a new m112 blower?

ah my appologies, most people start out liek that asking when they are trying to supercharge a 2 valve 5.4 and they have no idea the rest of the stuff involved to make it work

I'd look for a low mileage take off, there's a few surfacing recently, as far as prices, phil6608, built54 and some of the others will know that info 'cause I have no idea

Just to give you an idea,,I sold a new M112 Eaton with upper plenum and throttle body for $350.bucks! Someone got a great deal...lol
You can get a good (low mile)take off M112 for anywhere from 2 to 400 on any of the Lightning forums or ebay.
$800. is way to much to pay!

Well crap. I talked down the price a bit from the 800, but after reading that, I paid too much. well, maybe this project is a little more that we were thinking. We're starting to see we might have programing issues with the direct injection, at least until some of the software catches up. I think it's time to shelf this project for a little while. anyone want to buy a blower? haha. Thanks for the help. I might list the blower on the forums if I try to regain some of this.
