i know you cant put a 4.6 supercharger from a cobra onto a truck 4.6, because the 4.6 in the mustang is a DOHC.

I'd imagine the 5.4 is a DOHC motor also, but I'm not sure. Someone else will chime in

You are correct. The GT500s have DOHC 4v heads and 04+ 5.4L trucks have SOHC 3v heads. Won't work.

tsho123, which option is your father getting? 600hp or 725hp?

Why bother with the hassle of having someone carve a custom set of adapter plates (which would not be cheap)? There's nothing particularly fancy about the GT500's blower...just Gen V rotors in a Gen VI case that's 10 cid/rev bigger than a Lightning's M112. Could probably get a complete kit with a more capable blower that would work better and probably cost less in the long run.

I read somewhere that the GT-500 supercharger would work if you used a Roush P-51 intake manifold.I looked and couldnt find the manifold and diddnt call.It would be great if it would work cause I have an extra-But it might need a new snout as well to align with the F-150 belt profile,Then a pulley-GT-500s are 10 rib,And who knows what else.Just too big of a hassle.

P-51 intakes are for 4.6's right? You'd have to run adapter plates to get the P-51 to fit on the 5.4L
