Poweworks blower couple years and 30+K miles later

Man i`ts been a long time since I`ve been here..Anyway, I haven`t done a damn thing to it except change the oil on teh truck and clean the filter once and it`s been running like a champ.I tow with it quite a bit, it keeps ticking in the hot *** summer and the cold *** Chicago winter(except one problem that don`t have to do with the blower)

I`m still on the Powerworks tune, it`s been fine I guess, the trans shifting isn`t the smoothest, not sure if a custom tune would fix that?

Problem I`m having is above 5,000 rpms it starts to break up, so I haven`t been able to get on it at all which sucks cause cold weather is like another 30 hp It just falls on its face at WOT kinda almost backfires.

To me it`s like the spark is getting blown out, I pulled the plugs and I`m getting them regapped to .035. Not sure if this will fix it since the gap has been the same last few years.. it`s .044 or so right now.
I also suspect the coils, I hear they are common to go out.
I`m undecided if replacing the coils is worth it or is it just the plugs?
Anyone else run across this?

Yeah, my dyno sheet is floating around here somewhere.. in One FIF ty`s post.

Since then I increased fuel 12%, thought I was a bit lean, that did not help.

Noone with a blower has ran into this problem.
What gap are you guys running and did you have to adjust it?
What are the symptoms of coils going bad, similiar to what I described?

Anyone?

I haven't had the type of problem you are experiencing right now, but when I first talked to Mike Troyer before getting setup for a dyno tune at his shop, he did ask about what plugs I was using, I advised I had the brisk and gapped at .035, he advised to still use the brisk but gap em at .032, which I have done. You might want to give him a call/email and see if he has any ideas.

I`m surprised noone has run into this problem. Well since this isn`t much of a technical forum I`ll put some technical info; It was the gap on the plugs. coils are fine and I have full boost again.
I didn`t realize Powerworks sent a plug that was colder only and not gapped for a blower application. Gap was at .045
It`s at .032 now.
