1997 vortech

Hi i have 97 5.4L WITH a vortech on it. the computer is stock no tune . thats how the kit came with mods to the computer. i bought tr-6 plugs and gapped them at .36 and tried throwing the L mass air it too. Its running like crap.. its missin seems to rich. I also have the fmu.... when i plug my mass air in the idle is lower than keeping it unplugged. please help.

Take the L maf back off, and use your stocker with the stock injectors and fmu.
You need a tune to use the L maf which is usually used along with larger fuel injectors.
So, stop guessing, and ask questions first.

Ditto. Loose the 90mm MAF or get a tune. BTW place your MAF as far away from the blower as possible.

Yeah,,,you cant use the L 90mm without a tune!

will put stock injectors back in along with MAF! can i use an adjustable fuel regulator? my a/f is 14.7 on the dyno at WOT, To lean! and my gap was .52 before... can i leave it at .36 with the stock injectors and maf? thank guys

Yes you can use a afr, but you don't need it. .036 is good for the plugs.
14.7 at wot is bad, and the dyno operator should have stopped the session. Just curious as to what the dyno operated said about the situation??
