Painting Heat Exchanger?

Is it ok to paint your heat exchanger?

mine came painted black so i dont see any problem with it.

i dont know if the paint will mess up the fines..

If you coat the fins it will reduce the efficiency of the unit because it reduces the air flow over the fins.

^^^^^ That's what I think too + the paint may reduce the efficiency of the aluminum to dissipate heat??
