Time for engine rebuild - Head and Cam recommendations

I have an 01 5.4 SC with the L supercharger swap. I am starting to look into rebuilding the engine. Any recommendations on good upgrades for the heads/cams for a supercharged engine? Stick with the stock head and just go for a good port job? What about the lack of spark plug threads, any aftermarket heads cure this issue as well?

TIA

the only aftermarket heads are the Trick Flows, some of the performance companies put inserts into the heads

as long as you torque the plugs youll be fine with 4 threads.

cams - make sure they are supercharger specific cams...

Thanks for the info.

Yea, I have not had any problems with the stock heads/spark plugs in 180K miles but when I rebuild I figured if 8 threads were available I would upgrade.

Thanks again.

I have seen the flow numbers on the Trickflow heads and they are incredible. For a new build, it would be the way to go. They may be just hitting the market by now, but availability is questionable.

The new Trickflows are the way to go now. They out flow a stage 3 port job but you'll have a hard time getting them. I think you have to get on a waiting list.
One good thing is all the other companies doing port work are having sales and there prices will have to come down in order to sell anything.
I think Foxlake had them for like 1600 compared to the old price of about 2K.
