Guys,
I'm installing my boost guage today and was wonder where the easiest place to get power for the light would be. I was wanting to go inline with the dimmer but it looks to be a pita to get to.

Tapping into the ash tray light is easy.

 

I tapped off the light switch.


if you just pull the cover, it will pop right out.


Then use the trigger wire for the running lights.


My boost gauge was LED lit...so it drew virtually no power. and by tapping in off the running lights, it ensured the backlighting was only on when the lights were on.
