Do you have any pics of the front of your truck?
That's a good price on that kit and from the looks of the heat exchanger you should be able to mount it up front somewhere.

from my understanding they don't mount the HE in the bumper any more but up top behind the main grill.

Is it me or is that bigger than the ones we have in the bumpers? I think I might need a better intercooling system than the stock one I have now, when I was poking around with it the other day the coolant was pretty hot, almost untouchable, first time I noticed how hot it gets, or is this normal given how hot it was outside. This was just from a 30 minute drive, not really beating on it and temps were in the low 90's

in the 80+ on a root style blower the coolant will get very hot, even with my upgraded HE still see hot temps...

i am not sure how it is for the twin screw guys...

this is why i dont go into boost in the summer... it sucks lol

However having it behind the main grill may cool faster because in theory it gets more air compared to the small opening we have in the bumper...

If my truck was running I would tell you, however its been about 110-115 past few days so I dunno how "touchable" it will be.

How well cooling wise would adding another heat exchanger be, like a lightning OEM unit, and any special fabbing of brackets to make it fit an 05? Also would a bigger reservoir aid as the one with the magnuson, I think it holds about a quart or so of fluid.

it wont help much, only thing it will do is be a bit more consistant at the track and stay cooler longer...

more fluid always helps. only reason a larger res may be useful is you can get one made to add ice to it when you are at the track.. Other then that not much more helpful.

i will get some pics to explain what i mean.

Ideally you want the more capacity to sit in a HE so that extra capacity can be cooled rather then sitting in a tank holding heat. however on the flip side, it will eventually heat up to the temps, it will will just stay cooler longer..

Edit:

Still a work in progress, these are old pictures.. will get some newer ones soon.
