12's or bust!

The tires are Kumho Ecsta STX's in the previously stated 305/50/20 (32x12.4). They've still got the waxy residue from the factory on them and less than 150 miles. The wheels are 20x10" w/ 7.125" bs W/ the 305, the tire sits about 1/2" from the suspension components and creates no rubbing at all.
Here's some pictures of the wheels and tires:

hmm.....last time I went to the track my truck weighed in at 4800 lbs. With no wieght reduction and an ARE fiberglass top and 3/8ths a tank of gas. 2007 supercab. And with no launch ran a 13.49 and I think my 60' was 2.4. Then again on my next pass I owned the driveshaft. Thats with 468 rwhp.

It's not as easy to run 12s in a big heavy truck as you might think. When you start making good power things start to break.
I'm sure if he could get the truck to hook,,he would be in the 12s.
Things happen,
I blew the head gaskets on my stock motor with only 10&1/2 psi.
Put in a built block and blew the head gaskets with 18psi & 100 shot of nitrous.
I launch with DOT slicks & the 100 shot and the only reason I haven't riped out the driveshaft is I had a heavy duty,2 piece shaft made to the tune of 800 bucks.
Last time at the track (trying to beat my best time ) I riped the rear out. That cost me 1500 to have rebuilt.
Now I'm breaking the new gears in ,waiting for cooler weather to try again.

I did miss the pictures of his driveshaft and the news about his rear. I do understand the hard work it takes to get a big heavy truck to go fast. What I DON't understand is why the trouble and money to give you the capability of doing something but not using to anywhere near it's potential. STS turbo kit, Modmax crank, Manley rods and pistons, JDM fuel system....... Over $10g's in go-fast just to go 13.49 w/ 468rwhp? My train of thought is if you can do all that on an 07, plus all the other stuff he's done, then he should be able to afford a driveshaft u[grade and a stronger rear too. I don't get why the boost hasn't been upped if even just for the sake of seeing what it's capable of.
Just my 2 cents...
