If money allows (ive spent alot lately) I hope to get on the dyno this winter.
does he really need that large of an injector for only 10lbs?

i bet you need to upgrade to a dual pump setup also. I'm running 8.5lbs and barely getting 12-13% overhead on my stock pump at WOT which is what most tuners like to work with. Any less than that and it starts getting risky.

Well think about it, 39lb injector is out of a 4.6 DOHC supercharged motor making 390HP.

47lb Injector is out of a 5.4 DOHC motor making 500HP. If my truck makes 500-550 Crank HP with a 5.4, why would I go with an injector thats on a car with 400hp, 4.6 so smaller displacement, and cost the same amount of money?

I plan to get troyers Dual hat fuel pump set up thats good to 500RWHP. Then expand to the tripple hat good for another 500RWHP after that.

I got mine through http://www.hollywoodracing.net/ through a guy named Matt. They are just like these but purple. http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_CONNECT.asp Troyer can do a data log tune for your truck so you dont have to drive to VA to have it done.

I plan to go 450RWHP on this motor before built, and like youve seen 39 just doesnt do it. Well it can, but I'd rather not push the injectors that hard.

yeah I saw the Troyer fuel hat in person. He R&D that himself and it's a beast! Looked at it side by side with a stock one and the billet just destroys it. I'm pretty sure it's a 3 pump capable setup though so once you buy it you shouldn't need another hat.

Oh ok! Just put another pump in with some wiring. I saw a picture of it in that GT500 motor in the f150 thread and it was sexy

just curious if you got a price quote on it already? My quote was installed but it's up there in price, just a FYI so you're not dissappointed if it cost more than you expected.

what about these 39lb cobra injectors i see ppl talking about? what year cobra are they out of and how much grinding is needed to make them fit? seen a couple whipple guys talking about a cobra maf housing as well? im also starting to get concerned about needing to upgrade the pump to go to 10 psi, how many of you are running 10psi on the stock pump? sorry for all the questions just really want to do it right the first time

Thats what were talking about, the Cobra 39lb injectors. You have to do some shaving in order to get them to fit. Its not much but you do have to do a little modifying. I dont know to what extent as I went GT500 Injectors. Cobra injectors these http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=5941 off the ford racing web site. Fuel pump will be fine at 10psi. With a after market fuel pump you can open the throttle plate more and dump more fuel in for more power depending on your tune. Also, it lets the fuel pump work less to pump the same amount of fuel.

Stock MAF that came with 8PSI kit. That is until I change the rear of the Whipple to a Mustang GT set up where I can put a bigger throttle body and go bigger MAF at that time with larger intake tube. Stock fuel pump too.

you can get a 95MM MAF too, doesnt hurt can only help.

i wouldn't get too big a MAF, bigger than necessary isn't a good idea. Find a MAF the fits your power level.

Size of MAF doesnt really matter in a way. All it does is read the voltage on the wire and according to that voltage it will tell the PCM how much air flow is coming through based on the MAF housing size. 95MM wouldnt hurt on a 8PSI motor or a 10PSI motor. They make a 120MM for the GT500 along with massive throttle body which would be good for higher levels of boost.

Theres alot more to it then that, but really 95MM is fine for 10psi
