whipple, magnacharger, or roush

looking into buying a supercharger and need everyones opinion. which one would you get and why? seems the magnacharger is the cheapest(1200 cheaper then roush and 2200 cheaper then whipple) and also according to magnachargers site it makes the most hp and torque. hard to resist being that much cheaper

the roush kit is a nice package, similar to a lightning, and not to over the top, but does not offer the same expandability (imo) of the whipple. Then again, I have not seen anyone building a 3v to point where they can really wind up the whipple. I started a thread on a whipple group buy and will see if any vendor is interested in making us a deal...depending on the number of people that are really willing to pony up the cash. I have been told that it is hard to get a group of people to commit to spending such a big chunk of change, and I understand that, but if there are some, please post up on that thread and I will see if we can get a deal somewhere. It would be good for us, and as seen on other websites, if we can get some vendor support on a group buy, it will also pay dividends for the vendor in the long run.

Whipple is you want 10+ PSI. All make about the same at 8psi or so. But with the whipple being the more efficent being a twinscrew, and much larger 2.3L vs 1.8L it generates alot less heat and has the potential to make big numbers.

I hope to one day run 20PSI. So I went whipple.

i say roush or wipple what sold me on my roush was its a complete kit you need to buy nothing else, where wipple your gonna need injector plugs etc. and the roush you can use all the lightning pulleys, and if you decide to build a motor and go crazy a whipple for a lighning will fit or a kenne bell

Whipple you dont need anything, if you want more power bigger injectors are needed, but go 10 psi and get a pulley, injectors and MAF and a tune

Whipple if you're out of warranty, Roush if you still have a warranty. My 08 got the Roush specifically for the warranty but Whipple TS all the way!

So im going to 10psi right off the bat because I dont want to pay to get it tuned at 8 just to need to tune again at 10 a few months down the road...So help me out here tell me if this is correct. I need 3.125 pulley?, 39lb injectors at least?(any advantage to going bigger then that?), 0 range plugs?. Rumor says i wont need larger maf correct? The whipple will have one that is big enough? Where can i Find the injectors and pulley and plugs at a good price?

I have a 3.125 Pulley that I bought from Troyer Performance (I couldnt find one), I have 47lb injectors that are out of a GT500, but you need a fuel injector cap because they are a half inch to short but plug right in. Stock Whipple MAF. Brisk Racing plugs at 30/1000s (also from Troyer)

If money allows (ive spent alot lately) I hope to get on the dyno this winter.

where did u get the caps for the gt500 injectors cause i can get those injectors through work. Are you running a troyer tune as well? He was able to do it without the dyno?
