Headers Installed

Well this weekend I pulled off my stock manifolds, cats, & Y-pipe and installed a set from Dynotech. The difference these headers made in my truck is second only to the blower. I really didn't expect to feel the difference in torque but its there from idle to red line.

Sounds sweet, I plan to eventually get rid of my Gibson headers and exhaust and get some long tubes and true duals. When I do I will be asking which way I should go but I see a lot of people are going with Dynotech like yourself. I also want to get a built tranny and port everything. But thats waaaay down the road from now. Once I get this truck paid off I will probably buy another vehicle that gets better MPG then just mod the hell out of the truck. Thats my plan at least.

You have any pics of your Dynotech set? how did the install go?

I need to get mine on. How long did it take you? Any problems with broken studs?

When I put my headers on I could definitely tell a torque difference above 3k rpms. From A roll I usually put her in first and romp on it about there and shift it around 5800 or so. Most people are very impressed by the way it pulls as am I. The passengers side is HELL on these trucks with the header install. Did you use the manifolds that came with the kit?

I was very fortunate. My truck only has 41k on it. No broken studs, no frozen bolts or nuts. The biggest pain is the starter. Took a whole Saturday to do it.
