Budject lift kit

Ok I wanna go 4" up. No body lift just wanna go straight suspension. I do not want to spend over $450 on a kit. I was thinking of getting a kit w/o rear springs (don't really need it). I was wondering if anyone knows where online I can get a decent kit for under $500 shipped?

What truck is this going on? Your name has F150 but your signature has broncoII in it. Which truck is this going on? Regardless I'd look for a Skyjacker kit. Its more than you wanted to spend but its well worth the money. Get the 4" class II kit with the extended radius arms. You'll get more flex offroad and the onroad ride is dramatically improved over stock. This kit sells for $954 is the only problem, but its worth the extra cash if you can get it. But the class I kit is only $430 for that. Skyjacker is much better than rough country so forget the idea of going with Rough Country. Their kits can't compare to Skyjacker's. There is a reason why Skyjacker is one of the best names in TTB lift kits.

Cool Lift Kits

I agree with powerstroke73, if you can wait and save up the extra $$, it would be well worth the wait for the better quality!!

I hate this name lol it was the onlything I could think of when I had my ol' F-150. Anyway I look at the Skyjacker kits also, only problem was the $1000 price tag. I could do it with some saving MAYBE plus the $430 Rough Country would allow me to get 35s . If I save all my cash and wait till summer I could get the skyjacker but that means no 35s and I'll have to stick with my 30s for ALONG time . BTW this is the Bronco II I only talk about anymore but I still have my F150, which is one fun *** hoopty ride.

Ok so what would make more sense. Go for the Skyjacker Class II and stay with my 30s. or go for a regular kit for around $500 anf get 35s?

Cool Rough Country Lift

83_F-150_302, Remember, it's your truck and your $$. Maybe you can get more input on the Rough Country quality from others on this board. I just hate to see you put nearly $500 out for a kit that might not be worth it. Also, I'm with you and the bigger tires. I prefer bigger, so I understand your dilemma. Good luck and let us know what you figure out. Steve

Cool Rough Country Lift Kit

83_F-150_302, I think it's worth taking a little time to research the RC kit versus Skyjacker. Anybody out there have any experience with Rough Country??

Cool Lift Kit

83_F-150_302, If you don't get any responses, it might be worth starting a new post called Lift Kits? Maybe this will generate some answers for you. Remember to give your truck details. I'm trying to do some research for you to see if there are any reviews on Rough Country. Steve

Bottom line, I've seen all those kits in action and Skyjacker has outpreformed all of them. I've seen an 86 B2 run into a rut with a good head of steam that shoulda mangled crossmembers but didn't even tweak anything. Like I said forget Rough Country all together. The 4" class I Skyjacker and Rough Country are the exact same price, $430. The Class II is what is up around $1000. I don't know how you plan to fit 35s on your B2 with only a 4" lift. The only way you could would be to do some MAJOR fender cutting like I did. I'm talking about cutting 3-4" off around the fender, and since you have a B2 you'd have to tub the rear since you'd be past the inner fender wells. A 6" lift is enough to clear 33/12.5/15s on a B2 and will still rub pretty decent while offroad. Not a chance could you fit 35s with only a 4" lift and not expect MAJOR rubbing. If you wanna run a 4" lift guess what size you're going to be running 32/11.5/15 MAX!!!!

According to my new Four-Wheeler magazine (June 2003) 35s will fit my B2 with a 4" lift without any fender cutting.

<.edit.> LOOK AT THE RETARD! LOL I WAS LOOKING IN THE '99-'03 SUPERDUTY COLUMN <.edit.>
