opinions from those with body lifts only

Hi guys

I've got a 2000 4x4 orp and I've been considering the 2-3" body lift since the suspension lifts are so ridiculously expensive and I'm only adding 33's, however I've been hesitant because I've heard it makes the truck ride real rough. I would love some opinions from those that are running the body lift on a 4x4.

thanks

It does absolutely nothing to the ride quality since you don't touch the suspension. All you do is raise the body up off the frame. You will get a little more body roll due to the added height. I've got one on my 97 and I'll never have another one again. I can't even begin to say how much I hate it. BTW, you can fit 33/12.5 on a stock 4x4 without rubbing. A 3" lift will let you fit 35s.

A body lift doesn't affect the suspension at all so it rides like stock. Like Powerstroke73 said, you will get a little more body roll from the higher center of gravity, but not as much as with most suspension lifts. This is the third truck I've owned with a body lift and I won't hesitate to install one on the next truck I lift.

I installed 33x12.50's on 10" rims on my f150 4x4 orp with stock setup. They did rub but all i had to do was trim a little of the front valence (you can't even tell) and adjust the torsion bars slightly. I could've gotten away without adjusting the bars but the tires would rub whe turning into the driveway (at the bump). So, wanting to put the bars back to stock, I added a 3 inch body lift. I absolutley love it. Didn't change ride quality as the others have said since I didn't touch the suspension. It takes a time to install but it is worth it. I wouldn't have a problem doing it again.

I love mine No noticeable body roll but I do have heavier suspension, torsion bars and shocks. I opted to take that hard earned money and put it to other mods since I don't do the serious offroad stuff

if you dont mind seeing four inches of light under your truck bed get it. I am happy with mine. Get gap guards!

I have to agree there. That would be my only complaint, you really need gap guards.

I love mine! And the gaps don't bother me, the big 35s block most of that gap anyways
