Post Urethane bushing questions

Anyone install some polyurethane bushings in the front sway bar endlinks and isolators on a 4x4? How about some shorter front bump stops to increase suspension travel?

Any opinions would be great. thanks

I don't have the 4 X 4, but I installed Energy Suspension bushings on my 4 X 2. It helped flatten the corners.

For improved off-road capability, one would ideally disconnect the sway bars. To "firm" them up with poly bushings generally causes a decrease in articulation. Keep the rubber bushings and let them "flex".

You are right that for more articulation, remove or disconnect the swaybar. Just onroad, I need a bit less sway, especially when towing.

I am planing to make some quick disconnect here one of these days since I have not found a company yet that makes any. here is a link FYI:

I did it with shocks. The OEM ones are horrible.

The Edelbrocks made an incredible difference on our Expedition (aka king of body-roll) . Bilsteins are good, but reports indicate they don't seem to reduce body-roll as much. I don't know about the Ranchos, not a lot of Expedition owners run them, but the F150 guys here like them a lot.
