Quick question:

Does long travel, visually, just mean tires stick out farther???

this isnt my truck but it does have the 7.5inch long travel suspension and the triple shock option and a 2inch body lift, it runs on 37x12.50 bfg all-terrain tires.

I have had the long travel kit since December. I had the 6.5 inch kit along with a 3 inch body lift for about two years before I changed over. You will like this lift. Because of the new upper and lower control arms, you'll gain more suspension travel which will actually smooth out your ride because you won't be striking your upper or lower bumpstops as often than with any lift that retains the factory lower arm. I included some poor quality pics, but it was all I could round up for now. Also, the optional shock kit is only a dual shock cage. You lose the use of the factory shock because the cage bolts to the upper factory hole. As for tires, I'm currently running 35" tires but will try to fit 38's in the coming months.

Post pics when you are done. Are you installing yourself?

DAVENSA,

I measured this morning and got 48 3/8". I'm running 28 psi in each tire, and have Bushwacker Flares, but I don't think they make a difference in the measurement.

Question

I have a 2000 F-150 4x4 Supercab short bed. Im am currently looking at a rancho 5" lift w/ a 3" body lift and 35" superswampers. Does Fabtech make this 7.5" lift for 4x4's as well? G Patricio's truck I LOVE. I want to know if I can get the same lift result with my current selection? If not, any suggestions?

Hey, I am in the same boat 99 F150 4x4. I e-mailed Fabtech about a lift for 4x4 F-150's. They wrote back and said it will come out in about 4 mounths. So that means at least 6 mounths. There stuff is sweet. I just wish I could get it now. I may just get the 4 inch Rancho. It is the only thing I have found. I will have to get a 3" body lift to get the tires I want. I would rather get the 7' Fatech. I'f you find anything please let me know! Thanks -Rusty-

Have you guys considered the RCD lift? it's 5" and you can run 35's with minor fender trimming.

Question

I havent even heard of "RCD". I take it that it's another company, similar to Rancho or Superlift? And with the lift I'm currently considering (5" Rancho, 3" body) I can fit 35" superswamper tsl radials without ANY fender mods. I wanted to stay away from modifying my fenders if at all possible. Thanks....

Yes I know that the Rancho is a 4" and not a 5". But you can sqeeze out another inch out of the lift. It comes from Rancho as a 4", yes I know. But I'm making it a 5". But I'm glad you noticed that. Very observant. Also, I just purchased a superchip!! I cant wait untill it gets here. I'll let you guys know how it works out on my 5.4
