Question Question for JonC

How do you calculate the difference in the odometer reading for MPG? Is there a way to correct this problem?

1. You could just drive on the freeway and look at the milemarkers and figure out to what percentage you are off then adjust your MPG accordingly.

2. Look inside the door at the size tires...new tires/old tires multiply that by the current MPG based on your odometer and voala.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you... been out of state since Friday! Try this calculator... the percentage difference that your speedometer is off by should be the same percentage your odometer reading is off. going from the stock 29" tires to 35" works out to be about 19%. I round to 20% just because I can do that math in my head!
