Post 3" spindle or 3" body

I have wanted to lift my truck for a while, but have a couple questions that maybe someone can help me with to make my decision to lift it or not!

I have a 1998 Supercab 2wd truck. I want to put either a 3" spindle lift, or a 3" body lift as well as 33 inch tires. Money isnt' too much of an issue, but it is always nice to save. My questions are as follows?
1. Is there anything against a body lift? I know there are certain extensions that have to be put on the steering column and gas tank, but what else?
2. Is it worth the money for the spindle lift in performance and ride?
3. Is there some chip I can get to improve gas mileage and gear performance?
4. How bad will my miles per gallon be?
5. Lastly, about how much will the spindle or body lift raise my truck?

Thanks for your time!

I just installed a 3.5 control arm kit on my 99 Extended cab and i love it. It looks good and performs even better. I used 285/75/16 tires on it and i still have plenty of room. It sits about 2.5 inches taller than a factory 4WD and it took about 2 hours to install it. My gas milage seems to have decreased a little bit, but with a 5.4 it was never good anyway. Good luck with whatever you decide!!!

Go with the spindle lift. The looks of the spindle lift will be much better.

On my 2000 Supercab 2wd, I have the Pro Comp 3' spindle with 285/75/16 BFG's and I love it. I kept the stock wheels and ended up with a total of 5 inches of lift. I would go with the spindles myself.

Or just go with both, I mean 6 inches is better than 3.
