Question Pics of 37s with a 4" Trailmaster lift? How?

OK, found this sight. Really nice truck... How did they fit those tires with only a 4" lift? Content with a lot of rubbing? Lots of T-bar cranking? Ideas?

The websight describing the truck is http://www.fly-n-hi.com/f150.htm

Oh, the tires are 37x12.50-17 BFG Race Series. And like I said, there is only 4" of lift.

I don't think that's possible. Maybe he has a 3" bady also and they didnt say or they made a typo and the tires are really 35's. Just a guess.

IF you look at the tow hooks in the front they look like the are still in the factory posision, and if he had a body lift they would have moved down.... and the same with the hitch in the rear...

The first restriction for big tires is the bumper, remove or trim the lower valence and you can easily go up a size for your tires. I would even remove the bumper and get a new aftermarket one. Pre-runner style looks the best to me. I would've got one for my truck but my airbags went off and now I'm truckless untill they get fixed. Later this summer though...maybe.
Anyway. I get sidetracked. The tires are set more forward in the wheel wells so that if anything, they hit the bumper first and not the body/fender. So, like I said above, you will get lots more clearence by removing your bumper and going to an aftermarket one. You also gain lots on your aproach angle by getting a new bumper b/c it should be higher up than if you had the valence on there.

Try to get a hold of either the June or July 1998 Peterson's 4Wheel and Off-Road Magazine. They did a 1998 F150 4x4 with a 4" Trailmaster and the 37x12.50R17 BFGoodrich Baja's on 17x10 Atlas wheels. It fit with some trimming. (Its the yellow truck that BFGoodrich used in their ads)

Shouldn't be too hard. I have 35" tires with a 4" lift and thats on a 2 wheel drive truck. I cut the lower corners of the bumper off. That truck belongs to someone on this board. I can't remember his username though.

I say it has a body lift! If you look at the rear view you can see the spacer between the tail gate and the bumper. Looks like a 2" because the bumper wasnt ajusted.
