Bigger Tires & Odometer... ??

Post Bigger Tires & Odometer... ??

If you install bigger tires... will it make the odometer off slightly? You would think that w/ bigger tires than stock .. the computer would think you are traveling father than you actually are. I think my speedometer is off by about 5 MPH as well. Anyone experience this?

Yes, it does affect your odometer as well as your speedo. I'm not sure of the correction for it though. To find out how fast you are actually going, the formula is:
New Tire Diameter/Old Tire Diameter x indicated MPH. I'm think this months issue of Four Wheeler says how to correct it. Hope this helps.
