Thumbs down Broken end links...

While I was changing my brakes last weekend I noticed that one side of my truck was missing the swaybar end link. Is this a common problem for them to break off? I got another set today to put on it this weekend.

Mine in my 98 are fine after 55K, and some very hard core off roading. That's odd.

Mine broke on my Silverado. Its not uncommon with lifted trucks.

Look at them! They are a thin like 3/16" bolt and from the A arm to the bar is a plastic spacer.

I am suprised that more have not broken!

I agree, I am suprised more of them don't break. Best bet is to pick up a set of aftermarket endlinks. Thats what I'm gonna do...they are so much stronger.

Follow up question...

Did you replace them with the Ford part or did you go aftermarket? I just looked at mine (while changing the oil) and they are both broken off. How much $?

I was working on my truck tonight and the driver side is broke off. Completley gone almost like someone took it out with a wrench. 97 F150 4x4.

Definitely go aftermarket. I replaced both end links on my 97 in 15 minutes! That plastic spacer was a joke!!

I bought the replacement bushing kit from Energy Susp. They include the end links. I got it from Summit for $26. I am going to put it in this weekend.
