Question about 2" rear lowering shackles

I was told by a few people that if I put rear lowering shackles on my truck, that it would mess up the balance of the truck, and the factory's suspension. Also make the ride of the truck rough. Can anyone who has had this done to their truck tell me what they have experinced. Is this True?

Thanks for all replies.

I did this on my 03 F150 Harley Davidson and I didn't notice any negative effects on it. Only thing I noticed was how bitchen my ride looked after it was leveled out.
All you need to install it is 30 mins, a floor jack and an air ratchet.
