Rancho RS9000X shocks
Hey all,
I'm new to the site and have really enjoyed searching through the threads for information. Anyways, I have a '99 Lariat S/C with the Off-Road Package and 76,000 miles. I'm contemplating getting some Rancho RS9000X shocks from Samsoffroad.com (buy 3 get 1 free deal). My question is, will I notice a night and day difference from my stock shocks? I've done quite a bit of searching for this and it seems like everybody feels anything is better than stock. I do have the ORP (skid plates and 17" wheels), and I believe that comes with the heavy-duty shocks. I feel the truck rides pretty good right now, but obviously if the RS9000X's make a big difference, I would invest in a pair. Even with the HD shocks, is it worth buying these? This is my first F-150 so I'm not real familiar with how they are suppose to ride. For all I know my stock shocks could be close to shot, although they do not "bounce" around when I hit bumps and seem to rebound fairly well. I don't do much off-roading, just when hunting, and I will tow occasionally. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks.
