can i use 3" lift coils w/o new shocks or c-arms

i was just wondering if i could put 3" lift coil springs on my truck without having to buy new shocks (i've got stock shocks) or control arms, without tearing anything up? i wouldn't mind getting new shocks, but i didn't know if i needed to buy control arms too. you can find specs on my truck in my sig. thanks for all replies.

I don't beleive you can. I don't think the truck can be aligned if you go over 2.5 inches without replacing the upper control arms.

so that's why daystar make the 2.5" spacers...ok so you think it would be safe to go with a 2" coil or the 2.5" daystar spacer? what i'm doing is i'm going with a 3" body lift and i've already got an add-a-leaf for the rear so i was trying to get another couple inches in the front the cheapest way possible. thanks for the help

Yeah, go with the spacers or the coils. Just don't combine the two.

thanks a lot for the reply... i'm really stoked about it... sounds like the cheapest way to get around 6" of lift without stressing any components too bad on my 2wd. thanks
