Yeah those SVT's are pretty cool but I feel that the build quality is ****. My dash was lifting about .5" when I traded it on a WRX.
Mine was modded nicely
CAI, Superchip, B&M shifter, Different Exh, 18"s, lowered, and a bunch of other crap.
Well hopefully those links help you on your journey to liftdom!

trucks!!
On Truck!! the tv show they lifted a new ranger buy using a shackle lift in the rear and adding more tension to the bars in the front. I don't know how must wear that will add to the front end but it allowed for 2.5" of lift and I think some 33's.
Good luck!!

You should be able to get 1.5"-2" with a torsion bar twist. I'm pretty sure several companies (Rancho, Superlift) make suspension kits for the 95-01 Explorers, which are very similar to your '03 Ranger. 4Wheel Parts Wholesalers (www.4wheelparts.com) had a Superlift SportTrac 4-inch lift listed for $1800 (again, similar). Either the Ranger Station or Explorer 4x4 site should be able to give you info on what you need to change/modify to adapt an Explorer kit to your Ranger.
Body lift is your other (much cheaper) choice...
