2000 4x4 Ride

I want to soften the ride on my 2000 4x4 without the off road package. I occasionally cary heavy loads. Usually haul lumber for woodworking projects. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hello volant,

I also have a 2000 4x4, I put a set of Pro-Comp MX-6 adjustable shocks on mine. I put them on the softest setting for long trips or driving the family around town and on a firmer setting for hauling, towing and off-roading. It work's out pretty well.
