What year is your truck and is it a 4X4? Might be a bad radius arm bushing, a bad king bolt, bad shock or a bad ball joint. If I had to guess, I'd go with the radius arm bushing, as they tend to go, especially if the bushing is near the cat. Support the front end by the frame, get underneith and start trying to move things with your hand. You can't always tell visually what the problem is. Do you also hear the clunk when driving over bumps or only around corners?

Check out this search and go through it and see if your conditions mach any of these. Hope it helps. Try other search combinations also.

Check your ball joints and tie rod ends SOON. I just got my tie rod "inspection procedure" letter from Ford yesterday. I guess when a few of us get killed by these tie rod ends with no grease fittings, Ford will wise and spend the extra 14cents the grease fittings cost each. You would think if you spend around $30K for a truck, it would have grease fittings on it!

Smitty24,
Just fixed a clunk on my front and after replacing shocks and having the front end checked I found out it was the backing plate for the brake calipers. The bolts were a little loose so I could hear the clunk over bumps. It may not be but is something easy to check.
